Connection Issue: Trying to load eTrac gives a TCP/IP Connection Error.
Connection Issue: Cannot connect to eTrac from County Facilities.
The eTrac site goes through certain specific ports which are most likely being blocked by a firewall, set up either on your personal computer or your network.
If you are trying to access the eTrac site from a County facility such as the County General Hospital or CHLA, their network firewall is blocking the connection to eTrac.
Solutions
Solution for a personal or department firewall:
Open up the ports in your firewall software to allow the connection to eTrac to come through.
If you need help configuring your computer's firewall or if the firewall is in your department's local network, contact your department's system administrator or tech support for assistance.
Solution for users in County facilities:
Unfortunately, we have no control over the networks within County facilities.
You can access eTrac from a computer located outside the County facility, such as from a USC location or your home computer.
